“Choosing a Career in Real Estate at Bellmarc” Jo-Anne Sinnott, SVP, Director of Communications

What is Bellmarc’s approach to training?

In his book, The Art of Selling, Neil Binder, company president and one of Bellmarc’s founders, says:

“Trainees come into this program hoping to move into a career in which they can earn a substantial income and fulfill their dreams. However, each one has a little person in his mind saying he is not worthy. That little mental person is a protector, making him realize that no one is giving anything away and that if he really wishes to achieve professional stature he must earn it. He must believe in himself to the core. The little person demands that he train with all his heart. If he does not, he will be just like every other salesperson in the marketplace. To a great salesperson, that is never enough.”

I take this to heart. My job is to make people’s dreams come true. I aspire to help people find the greatness in themselves.

It’s exciting to help someone start a new career. People come here from all walks of life. We have attorneys, middle managers, teachers, housewives and people coming from more humble beginnings. They want to have a career where they deal with people and where they are doing something important – and make money doing it. No matter what their backgrounds, to me they are all the same – a dream waiting to come true.

Everyone enters the training unsure about themselves. I tell them the truth -- that they are incredible. I tell them that they have a right to a successful life and I dare them to become all that they can be. I really believe that people are amazing. I am always humbled by what they can achieve if they open themselves to possibilities. I love to be there when they realize that what I’m saying is true -- when the light goes on and they start smiling and getting excited. It makes my day.
